PRP Profactor

What is PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an autologous concentrate obtained from the patient’s own blood, in which the platelet concentration is increased above normal physiological levels.

Platelets are rich in growth factors and bioactive proteins that participate in the following processes:

  • Tissue Regeneration
  • Cellular Repair
  • Angiogenesis
  • Modulation of Inflammation

Because PRP uses an endogenous factor, it falls under the definition of biological therapies, which usually involves 3 applications at 15-day intervals per injection, considering the average lifespan of platelets.
